Through our Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) programme, Save the Children Poland is helping to ensure that all children and their families can meet their crucial and emerging needs, and are protected against child poverty.
As of August 2023, since the beginning of our response, we have reached over 6,700 people, including 3,500 children, with cash assistance in Poland.
Our programme is designed to support the work of the Polish Government and provide additional assistance to vulnerable families. We coordinate our efforts with municipalities, voivodeships and other international NGOs.
Save the Children Poland registers people in person and over the phone, and then delivers cash assistance through bank-to-bank transfer. Our main operational centre for delivering CVA is in Kraków, but we are continuously expanding our reach and looking for opportunities to scale up across Poland.
